Tua is 6’1. Tia will be at least 6’0. Just not that much of a difference. Sure, I’d love for him to be 6’3 but he’ll be alright. Kid has an NFL arm, good mobility and seems to read and anticipate defenses well like his bro.

Ask yourself this. How nervous would you be if he signed with UT or AU? Would you look forward to facing him the next few years? I’d be dreading it.

I think the principle reason that Saban took a commitment from Tualia is that it makes Tua's family happy and therefore helps keep Tua from transferring in the event of a protracted QB battle. In a down year for QBs, you take what you can get, and it's great if that stone kills another bird or 2.

I don't think Tualia would have been pursued hard enough to commit to us if his brother wasn't our likely starting QB for the future and we weren't desperate for more QBs in our QB room. Thankfully, the worst case scenario by taking Tualia is that you have a helluva practice QB who can spin it. Best case scenario we win some championships with his older brother and he gets taller and/or develops into something - you know he's got the arm talent and hopefully pedigree.

I think that Tualia has an excellent arm, yes, and hopefully can see the field like his brother. That second trait is yet to be seen. But no, I don't think he's a particularly special QB commit at this juncture and wouldn't be "dread" it in the slightest if he went to our rivals. I'm also not a pansy and wouldn't dread seeing the hybrid clone-spawn of Cam Newton and Tom Brady lining up for auburn every year. Bring it on. I wanna play against the best. Anything else is a waste of time.
