Tigers took the first game 5-3. Toelken vultured the win after Sikkema scattered 5 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3s. They jumped on two of SC's better arms for 3 runs in in the 5th and added 2 more in the 6th. SC got the leadoff man on each of the last 3 innings but solid defense closed out the win.
Vandy helped us out last night by beating the Vols. Plassmeyer takes the pill today for the series win.

Mizzou and UT lose on Saturday. MSU playing their way into contention for missing out by losing first 2. Mizzou tied today. UT beating Vandy. Win today would be big.

Would like to cancel the mid week game so we have all arms on deck and fresh for the weekend. I imagine their chances of making the NCAA tourney drops dramatically if they don't make their own tourney.
I know you said you saw someone with Mizzou barely getting in. I've seen just as many that had Mizzou just out going into this weekend. If you don't make your tourney, there's probably too many teams on the bubble that win in their own tourneys that make it hard if we don't.

UT won. They're a game up on us in the win column pending our game. MSU up early against UK 2-0. Between us and UT, I don't think today's game matters. Win next weekend and move on. Even if we lost today but win 2 of 3, we have a tied record but win the head to head.

Bieser still figuring out how to work pitchers. Brought LaPlante out for the 9th despite having already thrown 112 pitches and the top was a bit longer of a wait. First pitch...walk off home run. That one is on Bieser because LaPlante threw a helluva game.
Just win 2 of 3 against UT and it doesn't matter. MSU is up big on UK so they're probably in, though they do have UF next weekend.
