All recruit interviews should be taken with a grain of salt.
Pappoe should be ignored. He has consistently said things that weren't true and didn't match actual events in interviews.
I do think it's 50/50 AU/UT at this time. A lot depends on how the growing GusFire heats up over the next few weeks.

I actually think Germy is probably in good position with Pappoe as I would think most kids are probably shaky on Auburn right now. One more bad season and Malzahn will get the buyout. Tell me AU fans, how can War Eagle be anything less than worse next year with most of the D-Line leaving and most of the offensive line coming back? Stitham gone likely.

Had no idea Grayson has a VFL on the coaching staff.

As for the Grayson trio, Tennessee continues to make moves with 5-star linebacker Owen Pappoe and 4-star defensive back Kenyatta Watson. A key behind the scenes staffer with both prospects is Tino Sunseri. Pappoe is a very savvy prospect, who has long known how not to reveal much in interviews, but based on our time in Loganville earlier this week, it’s apparent Tennessee has a real shot. Pappoe really respects Pruitt and his potential to be developed by the current staff into a top-line linebacker in the SEC. As Pappoe said himself, getting past his relationship with AU linebackers coach Travis Williams will “be hard,” but the Vols might have the right combination of staffers to pull it off. Pappoe will sign and enroll in December, so getting him on campus next month officially could be the difference for the Vols.
Similarly, Watson also plans to take an OV here next month. While he doesn’t quite garner the attention or stars of Pappoe, the Grayson DB is super long (legit 6-3) and has had an outstanding senior season. He’s developed a nice rapport with Terry Fair and he’s known Pruitt for years. His family also really likes Knoxville. Former Vol Anthony Sessions is his position coach at Grayson and has upped his Tennessee pitch of late, too. Watson may unofficially visit this weekend.
