He obviously doesn't have a ton of tape, but he ran the read option in high school and his experience came from the spread. He's a more natural runner than Franks (it's hard not to be) but at least we know that he's going to at least look for receivers if the first route isn't there for him.

I just really hope their bodies are ready to actually run the ball.

Franks is much more of a willing runner than Trask. Once Franks makes the decision to run, he is good at it. For Franks, it is all about the shitty decision process.

But IS he good at it? He doesn't get up field which is his biggest problem, and has no real awareness of where the lines are. If you watch tape on his sacks, it's not really because the line is really awful as much as it is he just doesn't know where he is vs. where the defensive lineman is.

When he does choose to run, he makes a beeline for the sideline and just decides to not throw it away (for whatever reason).

No one really watched his highlights coming out of high school, but if you guys have time to kill check them out. He also has a 21 yard run highlighted and that style is much closer to Mullen's offense than even Jones. The heavy QB right up the middle.
