A lot of people seem to think Texas now.

Has been a strange recruitment. I was told on two different occasions that he was going to commit to Mizzou within the week.

With Mizzou eliminated, it’s either Texas or Louisville. I doubt he goes to OSU.

Who said Mizzou was eliminated?

I don't think anyone really knows where he is going.

All signs point to it. Hes made it known that he doesn't want to go to a team with competition at guard. Mizzou not only has it, but quite a few.

If he can't handle the competition for a starting spot he can't handle the pressure of bigtime SEC BB.....buh bye

Not just next year, over the next few years. This is a known fact. if comp for just 1 season was an issue, UCLA and nova would still be his #1 and #2.

Giest, Pinson, M. Smith, D Smith. thats 4 players who will share the ball at some point. Ramey is a better true PG than all of them, no doubt. But he wants to be the only guy.

Cant handle SEC but ACC and B12?

Hes a stud, hes going to be a great college player, hes going to help a team a ton. But His whole life hes sorta had things given to him. Literally, his basketball career since 6th grade was given to him. I see why he wants to go to a school that will just give him the job and leave him alone, but for his sake, I hope he learns soon that nothing past his Fr season will be given to him.

Good luck CR, just dont go to texas please.

Then he shouldn't play basketball. Literally no team is going to have only one ball handler on the roster to placate Ramey.

as of now, Louisville has only 1 player who would compete with ramey, and hes awful.

But they aren't going to stop recruiting.

As of right now we have zero true point guards and his main competitor is Geist.

I mean, the path to playing time doesn't get much clearer than that, but whatever.

I guess last year just put off the rebuild for a year

Louisville has two pg’s returning and both are better than Giest.

I don’t think playing time will make a difference in his decision. I posted something similar in the basketball recruiting thread about Louisville and Texas.

Exactly. We’ve been waiting the last few weeks to figure out if we were going to pick up Ramey or another transfer PG. We now have our answer. I don’t want to make it sound like I’m disappointed about getting Dru Smith. I’m excited. His stats speak for themselves and we get him for two seasons.

Like I said before.

I would rather get Dru and pass on Ramey, than wait for ramey, miss, and miss a player like Dru. Getting either one is great for the future, so why risk it?

This is coming from the biggest homer too

Dru Smith can play as shooting guard as well. Having to many pg is not a problem we learned this year.

Martin has talked about playing with a 4 guard line-up.

2018-2019
Ramey 1
Dru at the 2
Watson at the 3

Pinson, Santos, and Pickett will also fit in this year
