I have to agree with Barstools again.
Except that Tua had already got some garbage time in the season, so the redshirt was already burned.
So in the context of this discussion, my agreement with Barstools is not a deal that makes sense in my portfolio.
And so for that reason, I'm out.

That's even more evidence that Saban lucked out. Tua had already played some mop up duty in the season and Saban saw it and thought "nope, Hurts gives me the best chance of winning." So much so, that, before the biggest game of the year, Saban still picked Hurts to give him the best chance to win.
Tua didn't come in and play the way he did because he had a few mop up snaps against Samford or Fresno State. He played that way because he is a special talent and he out performed even what Saban thought was possible.
That's what everyone wants JF1 to be. And I guarantee that 7 PAs against Austin Peay isn't going to define JF1s career.
