That is the one thing I dislike about the NCAA getting in bed with the ticket scalpers. Some SEC have already sold their tickets to 3rd parties and the fans are unaware part of their "donations" are not actually going to the schools.

Say it is SOLD OUT but they are selling big blocks to scalpers in advance. At least some SEC schools sell blocks before even selling them to the donors. This is just wrong and has done more to erode the real fans than anything else. I know at least 1 SEC football program that sold a block of 10,000 to 20,000 per game before they went to the fans and donors.

It is a big bubble and many fans have gotten wind and the bubble is about to burst.

You are correct. You piss off the diehards and you sink your program. There are many fans who love to support the program - win or lose. All they want in exchange is 1) A fair shot at good seats 2) For their money to support the program to which they designated.

Jeff Long pissed off a bunch of donors because he allegedly violated #2. The rumor is that he was pulling money from the baseball fund to give to other programs.

Here is my question. What is stopping fans from creating their own booster club. If somebody wanted to raise money strictly for baseball could they not open a gofundme and then hand the check over to Dave Van Horn or whoever your baseball coach is?
