Great article with great info, if basic, on what to expect next season.

Lock apparently will know what routes WOs will be running on every play call. I bet that will help with consistency instead of the feast or famine style O.

Also of note is that Lock ran plays with 3 TEs and Odom seems to be considering using all 5 scholly TEs next season.

Interesting stuff. With the athleticism and size and ball skills our TEs Love, I get a stiffy over the idea of bullying teams all day with seam routes and slants to TEs. Play b-ball in the red zone with them. Power running. Provided Lock “gets it” could be a fun system.

We're going to run the shite out of the ball and then throw bombs to Hall.

As good as our TEs are at catching the ball hell I put 5 TEs out there.

Johnson should benefit from this. Half of Lock's INTs during conference play were on throws at Johnson where he adjusted his route into a second defender.

Lock isn't going to have trouble getting it. We're lucky it worked so he came back. He's gonna be a stud in the NFL

Wow. Is that true? That's an insane amount of INTs just because JJ re-routed back INTO coverage. Yikes. That's some shitty situational awareness for JJ and almost as bad for Lock.

Anyway. Sounds like this offensive system will clean up a lot of the mess from last year and the year before.

And yes. Lock has the talent to be an NFL stud if he adapts to this system.

4 INTs isn't an insane number, but yes, Johnson made several poor adjustments last year, particularly when the defense rolled to cover 3 from a cover 2 shell.

Considering what he can do with the ball in his hands, he underperformed in conference play. He took himself out of several 3rd down plays when he had the opposing defenses #3 cover option. He should win that mismatch more than the 3 times a game he did last year.
