yes, it has ... hitting open shots doesn't mean you have an offense ... petty puts up some bad shots ... when he makes several of them a few times a year, everyone says "great job!" ... we have length and athleticism more than we have shooters, which is fine, but there's not enough flow/movement to get 10 ft shots ... it's usually either sexton penetrating, hall with a put back, or a 3 pt launched, usually as the clock winds down ... i'm not looking for the golden st warriors, but if butler can do it with 3* talent, so can alabama ...

Are you really arguing that hitting open shots isn't crucial to an offense? That's just silly. Not sure what your point is on Petty, he missed way more of his open shots than his contested shots. His contested shots were typically heat checks after he made an open 3.

Any decent defense can prevent a team from getting "10 ft shots" if they don't have to defend the 3pt line. Not sure 10 ft shots are the focus of any offense, but still applies. Once again, our offense looked good when we force the defense to respect the 3.

Still waiting on someone to give me an offense with regular good flow and a terrible 3pt%...

Obviously having more shooters makes any offense look good, but 3 guys standing around watch a post player set a screen for the guy with the ball isn't really innovative either.
