For years Cullen VanLeer dreamed of playing in the NCAA Tournament. Instead, he’ll have to settle for a front-row seat. In MU’s final home game on March 3, the junior guard suffered a season-ending knee injury, tearing both the ACL and MCL in his right knee. There might also be some lateral meniscus damage, he said Thursday. VanLeer is putting off surgery until after the NCAA Tournament so he can continue to travel with the team.

“It was definitely tough the first couple days knowing we were going to make the NCAA Tournament and I’m not going to get to play,” VanLeer said. “But now that I’m here I’m going to enjoy the experience as much as I can do and do anything I can do on the bench to help my team win.”

Looks like a redshirt is in the cards for CVL next season.

Keeps it.
If Mizzou gets a good grad transfer to replace MPJ Mizzou should be a tournament team ago. A hats assuming Jontay is back.

7 is the normal recovery for an ACL injury, but CVL als has the MCL and meniscus which will slow his recovery down.
