No shite. Strength would be low reps 3-5 along with some stretching to maintain shoulder mobility. Nobody is doing 30 reps of bench press. That's why I said I would expect the bench competition at the combine to be dropped at some point.

There's a reason you can walk into any global gym and find 5 guys under 210 that can hit 20+ reps at 225 on bench press, yet so many elite athletes struggle with it at the combine. It's not something that has an impact on football success are probably pushed away from doing it to much.

But it doesn't make any sense. Are you saying muscle endurance at the end of a game is not important? For a running back it can be the difference of carrying the ball to completion and fumbling the ball at a critical point in the game.
