Sony became a different RB this season and, imo, should've basically been "the guy", especially in the championship game. He's fast enough to make his own holes and adjustments behind the line but is also strong enough to inflict big hits and break free against second level defenders. He couldn't have had a better NCAAF season heading into the NFL draft...he will be taken early.

I don't agree with this. Sony has been the same back as always, which is fast, with elite agility, and some good pop. I think the biggest difference is having a much improved oline. Plus Sony wasn't used in the passing game this season like he should have been, or had been in the past (only 9 receptions).

Yeah, it's all perception, I suppose. I can't put my finger on any statistics to support what I saw but I just think he was more aggressive this season. He was aggressively hitting his holes and also sought out second level defenders to take out. My memories of his earlier seasons always had him trying to evade defenders (most of the time) as opposed to feeling strong enough to just overpower them.

As far as the OLine, sure can't disagree with you. All 3 primary backs benefited from improved blocking and scheming up front.

I agree, Chubbs numbers showed why he way "the guy" this season. I think a lot of the RBs not be used as much in the passing game was that Fromm didn't look to check down as much as other Qbs. Eason never seemed comfortable in the pocket, and checked down all the time. Fromm wasn't scared to let it rip
