UA reserve offensive lineman Richie Petitbon plans to transfer (al.com)

One of Alabama’s reserve offensive linemen won’t be back with the team next year.
Redshirt junior Richie Petitbon plans to transfer after the season, sources told AL.com.
Petitbon, who graduated in May, will be immediately eligible for another school as a graduate transfer.
A former top-65 recruit, Petitbon got set back by a torn ACL in April 2016 but has worked at every position along the offensive line for the Crimson Tide the last two years and has appeared in six games as a reserve this season.
The Maryland native was one of Alabama’s Commitment to Academic Excellence award winners during the spring of 2017.

More than 30 Crimson Tide student-athletes are slated to take part in commencement at The University of Alabama this weekend. The Tide’s tally includes an NCAA champion, an Olympian, six All-Americans, three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 15 members of the football program as well as an MLB pitcher.
Alabama’s football graduates include All-Americans Isaiah Buggs, Ross Pierschbacher and Jonah Williams as well as Lester Cotton, Damien Harris, Jalen Hurts, Anfernee Jennings and Christian Miller. Other members of the Tide’s 2017 national championship squad set to earn their degrees are Elliot Baker, Joshua Casher, Miller Forristall, Derek Kief, Jamar King, Donavan Mosley and Ryan Parris. Casher, Kief, Miller and Pierschbacher are receiving their master’s degrees.
