Again any argument with saban and Alabama as the measure for success is ridiculous.

I agree with you he hasn’t proven to be elite. Yet.

But still a weird guy to pick on

I mean, is he just lucky?

He's pretty lucky.

Swap rosters, Dan gets Georgia's team this year -- Kirby gets Florida's team this year.

Does Kirby still go 11 - 1?

He's an average at best x's and o's guy. You don't lose to LSU 36 - 16 and Auburn 40 - 10 unless there's something terribly wrong going on -- I guess you guys call it bad luck, I call it: Getting served by the one real test they get all year.

This year they got practically three FCS teams:

Austin Peay
Middle Tennessee State
Umass
Georgia Tech

That alone has got to be one of the weakest OOC schedules out there right now.

Then in the regular season, toughest games:

UK (not a football school)
UF (complete coaching overhaul, coming off of 4 - 7 season)

That's it from the East.

LSU: Only big opponent on the schedule with any real teeth, they get blown out.

Auburn: 3 - 5 in the SEC.

Obviously he can't change his schedule, but this is not an impressive schedule. There is literally one big time team on there (LSU) and he got boatraced. Will be interesting to see what bowl they get after Alabama manhandles them.
