I don’t think it’s fair to use Alabama as a bar to measure anyone.
That being said, 24-3 in the sec is good anytime.
I’m not saying he’s the next saban. FAr from it. Just seemed like a weird coach to criticize given his recent record.

And saying he hasn’t gotten the job done is wrong. The dude has an SEC Championship on the resume, regardless of the circumstance, winning the SEC is an accomplishment.

When you're averaging top 5 classes over the past few years, it's certainly an adequate bar.
That you don't answer is just sort of proving my point, though. We know he's not an elite coach -- Urban, Saban, Dabo. Last year the SEC East was the worst P5 conference in the entire year, he got a second shot at Auburn (with a banged up Kerryon) and got to play the easiest team in the first round (Oklahoma) and had that team run all up and down the field on them.

He's 18 - 6 in the SEC.
McElwain was 16 - 6 before he was fired.
All's I'm saying is that they've flopped, a lot. And there's no other excuse outside of coaching because they certainly aren't lacking talent or experience. Kirby's losses were both blowouts, one to LSU and another to Auburn.
Now, since he has the talent and experience, multiple top 5 recruiting classes (second best of all time last year), I want to know:
What's the final score between Alabama and Georgia?
