5. TENNESSEE

Jeremy Pruitt is working to change the culture at Tennessee and to get the Vols back to where their fans think they should be — competing for SEC titles. With the talent base in Tennessee not too deep, the Vols have to go outside their border to fill the majority of their recruiting class each year. They must have at least some success in the state of Georgia.

At Marietta (Ga.), the Vols have offered a list of prospects and at least three that competed Sunday have become major targets. The one closest to a decision is wide receiver Ramel Keyton. It could come down to Auburn and Tennessee, but he still lists other possibilities. Harrison Bailey and Arik Gilbert are two others at Marietta that have the Vols on their radar. Gilbert actually named Tennessee as his top school Sunday in an interview before the camp started.

Linebacker Kalen Deloach is another one that Tennessee is recruiting. Clemson, South Carolina and Michigan are at least three of the schools the Vols are up against in this race.

So Urban Meyer fired his longtime WR coach, Zach Smith, today due to multiple counts of domestic violence against his wife dating back to 2009.

First off, frick that guy. According to court documents he first assaulted her when she was 8 to 10 weeks pregnant.

Secondly, I wonder if that helps us with Jameson Williams.

Siaki Ika's Senior Highlights

ETA: He reminds me of Cody wearing that #62 and blocking kicks.

Will this be the best Oline class signed by Saban?

How do we look for Darnell Wright?

I will assume we get the ones I've bolded... it will be just a nasty good class. Every position accounted for with a stud!

3-5*s, 2-4*s

With D Wright would be 4 5*s

Offensive Line (4-6)

4* OC Darrian Dalcourt 6-4/290 MD hudl *
5* OG Clay Webb 6-3/295 AL hudl *
5* OL Pierce Quick 6-5/285 AL hudl
*
4* OL Tanner Bowles 6-5/280 KY hudl *
4* OT Amari Kight 6-6.5/315 AL hudl *

5* OT Evan Neal 6-7.5/360 IMG/FL hudl *

??
5* OT Darnell Wright 6-6/320 WV hudl

Heck combine both O and D line and this may be the best LOS class of all times at Bama

We need to get Trey Sanders to run the ball behind this line... has to be a motivating factor for him..

Winners, awards, top storylines from the Early Signing Period

quote:

The first day of the 2018 Early Signing Period for the 2019 football recruiting cycle has largely concluded. 247Sports earlier presented a conference-by-conference breakdown of superlatives to conclude Wednesday’s action, but now it's time to look at things from a national scope, name the big winners, and unpack some odds and ends.

Unless noted otherwise, all player rankings listed are from the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. That includes the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings.
