Not sure as all are important in their own way, but consider the following:

#1 Kentucky gave us Dr Dudley - Dr Dudley would wind up at Vanderbilt where he would create both the SIAA ( precursor of the SEC) and the NCAA.

#2 Kentucky is the buffer state to the Ohio Ocean and yankee invaders

#3 Basketball, they are the top college program in the nation.

#4 Rife, aside from the Natty, keeps yankees at bay

#5 Bourbon, seriously tho, this might need to be #1

#6 Fast women

#7 Beautiful horses

#8 Rustling the Mizzou jimmies?

#9 When SEC founded UK's president was the first leader.
