I don't think Auburn or Alabama or any team for that matter had much of a profile in the early 1900's. However, Alabama was reluctant to resume the series in the late 1940's in part because of that reason. Governor and Legislature had to drag Bama back to the table and get both sides to agree because the people wanted the game to resume. I believe Auburn was eager to start playing again....Bama not so much.
