If you call winning 1 out of the previous 5 games before the break "kicking Bama's tail," sure. But overall I agree Auburn had uncharacteristically strong success against Bama in the early years. It's a shame they couldn't keep it up.

Auburn won 7 out the first 10 iron bowls before they stopped playing dude.
