The most head scratching one of all-time under Sabes was playing Denzel Devall over Ryan Anderson in 2014. An absolute head scratcher of epic proportions. Completely mystifying both then and now to fans, assistants, and teammates alike. Denzel was a great guy and teammate. But wasn't 1/2 the player Anderson was.

It's not mystifying at all. Anderson was an undependable headcase for his first two or three years on campus. Devall wasn't as talented but he could be depended on to do his job. Anderson finally figured it out and was a great player obviously.
