As a Tech fan, every time you lose is a good day, especially a big game ...
As a college football fan, seeing a game where the refs are the difference maker fricking sucks. That game was a disgrace and I hate it for your players. Every college player, in a game of that magnitude, deserves to play a fair game, head to head, against their opponent. Your guys didn’t get that opportunity. That sucks.
So begins the offseason.

The worst was the blocked punt. That was an absolutely atrocious call as Tyler Simmons wasn offsides when the ball was snapped and they missed a false start on Bama on that very same play.
It gets worse every year.

The Jackets could pay the refs off and still won’t have a season like UGA just til Paul Johnson and the triple option leave ????????

If Dawgfan77 can't handle COFH, and some good-natured ribbing, then just ban me. Or I could ban myself like I've done for the last few years.

Thanks for condolences. We got screwed on a few penalties (or non-calls) but we should have been able to overcome it. We played too safe on offense in the 2nd half and didn't execute well enough to win it. Sucks...

If they did a false start, the ball would have been blown dead. Calling him offsides caused a 10 yard turnaround on the play. (5 yards we were penalized and 5 yards they were not penalized....not to mention the difference in the two punts.)
If they missed the illegal procedure call on Alabama, fine. But the replay showed he was no offsides when the ball was snapped, so we lost the blocked punt.
All that said, I just don't believe referees purposely miss calls. Missed calls are a part of the game. they hurt, yes. But that is the game. It always has been and probably always will be.

Timing is everything. Think about how you would feel if GT had just gotten beat in a National Championship game and the next morning we went on a GT board and started joking about it and taking jabs at Tech posters.

I can't think of a better time to do it. If it was someone I've been trading light-hearted banter with for a long time, I'd welcome it.
