re: RIP Coach Van Dam

I once owned a home near where Jerry Van Dyke and his wife lived in rural Arkansas. He and his wife showed up at my house one day, unexpectedly, just to look around. It turned out my house was built by his wife's sister and she had several family members that were my neighbors.

He was a damn nice guy and wanted to know how I kept my pool water so clear (we had shitty well water out there). That still fricks me up. Here's a link to the local account on his passing.
