Was t Alabama’s schedule pretty much garbage when they were undefeated and ranked number one?

We were ranked #1 to start the season and simply held our spot. If we had started the season #8 or #9, we wouldn’t have been sitting at #1. And our schedule was much tougher than Wisconsin’s headed into conference championship game weekend.
