Whoever said the looked unimpressive this year was dead wrong. They handled everybody they played easily

Struggled with Northwestern, struggled with Purdue, looked bad at times against Illinois, looked pretty average against Michigan.

They finished with 500+ yards only once all season. Finished with 400 or less 5 different times.

They were absolutely unimpressive against one of the weakest schedules I’ve ever seen. That’s why they were the only undefeated P5 team in America and couldn’t break the Top 5.

You are just dead wrong on that. Sorry. They were up 31-10 on northwestern with four minutes left and gave up two garbage tds. The only game that was even close was Purdue and I believe they fumbled three times in the red zone and downed it the other time.

I do believe you were right on Illinois but they still won that handily. Iowa had one or two plays total in Wisconsin side of the 50. I stil firmly believe this. If you changed uniforms and you had the exact same performance but the jersey said Alabama, Clemson, penn state, Ohio state, Michigan, Oklahoma, usc, etc they would have been number one going into the conference championship games

I have very little doubt on that. To be honest Alabama performances this year weren’t really that much better. Even though Alabama is a better team

So what. They had one of the best defenses in the country.
