It is an off season thread, but a good and interesting one.
I can't figure out how they make a lot of decisions, but it would seem as if television footprint had a lot to do with it, so I would say, yes, they would still be in the league. We give them a lot of crap, but I think they are a solid team and program.

If they were not chosen, then maybe Virginia Tech?
I don't think Texas or Oklahoma would ever be chosen, though.

This is possible...if they did that, I would have liked it if we had invited NC and Duke. While I don't think that would happen, I think it would help academically and with basketball.
