you do need balance tho. Recruits DO look at current recruits rankings when looking at teams.
I'm all for have 2 and 3* recruits who look like they were passed over for no reason, but you do need a few 4* to even the ship.

I think we will get some 4* players by February. I like the early signing period. Especially if we have good talent evaluators. We can sign our core before they go up in ratings, and before the blue bloods decide to poach. I think the top 150 or so are going to wait till Feb. anyway. If we can frost our cake with 3 or 4 studs in February, like Thompson and a few other surprises, it will make our class look even better.
