Again, you guys are placing too much value on stars.
The elite guys are easy to identify but after that it is a literal crap shoot. You can't say we aren't recruiting better than UK or Arkansas because we won't know that for 2-3 years.
It's about identification and development. Always has been, always will be.
Go watch Jataorian Hansford's tape. Watch him cover slot receivers (and actually be able to do it well) at 6'4" 225 lbs. tell me why an athlete like that is a low 3*. Tell me why Jalen Knox or Kam Scott (who is dominating the TX state playoffs) is a 3* and Cameron Brown who is smaller and slower is a 4*? Tell me why Simi Bakare averages 9 ypc in 6A Texas football and is a 2*?
The top 100, 150 or so players stand out. They are easy to see for sure. After that, it's a minimally educated guess AT BEST.

you do need balance tho. Recruits DO look at current recruits rankings when looking at teams.
I'm all for have 2 and 3* recruits who look like they were passed over for no reason, but you do need a few 4* to even the ship.

Cameron Brown isn't slower and smaller than Kam Scott. C. Brown is very athletic with good top end speed.
I agree that Mizzou needs to get more skilled players to add to the under-the-radar players to bring out balance and help them to compete with some of the bluebloods and occasionally beat them. Most Mizzou fans settle for mediocracy and they don't demand taking this team to the next level. Pinkel "We do what we do" Bullcrap!
I use to be very critical of Mizzou's recruiting, but the usuals always made excuses and said that I was anti-Mizzou. So, I just enjoy Mizzou football and let the usuals make their excuses and cry when Mizzou struggles against better teams.
We only got 1 player from the Mizzou 10 so far with M. Thompson still sitting there and that's a total embarrassment to Mizzou football and BO.
