I'm not trying to sell you on why you should want to join the SEC and ignore the USC flair for a moment and answer honestly...do you actually enjoy playing the ACC slate?

Putting myself in a Clemson fan's shoes I would hate it. You get 2-3 games against historically good or big programs a year.

Carolina's conf opponents this year:
- Missouri
- Kentucky
- Texas A&M
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Vanderbilt
- Georgia
- Florida

All of those schools except for maybe Vandy and UK are primarily football schools, and all of them except for Vandy are the flagship universities of their states (arguable for TAMU).

Clemson's conference opponents:

- Louisville
- Boston College
- Virginia Tech
- Wake
- Syracuse
- Georgia Tech
- NC State
- Florida State

Outside of FSU and maybe VT how do you get excited for the regular season? Not counting the NC and VA schools which are academic and basketball minded, the conference is made up of the also-ran universities.

I imagine your answer will be "of course we're excited, because we're going to win it all and go to the playoffs because we're Clemson, shut up lil bro"...and that's fine, but I think if you're honest you'll admit the competition is more exciting in the SEC and the games mean more.

OP asked a stupid question. Clemson is king of the hill in the ACC. There's not even a close second. They don't want to go anywhere.

Oklahoma is also king of the football hill, but one of the mediocre teams in the conference steals their money, dunks their head in the toilet daily, and makes them call him Daddy. Their fans are content to be bullied by Texas, but anyone in their administration with half a brain knows they belong somewhere else.

Norman isn't a podunk town, either. About the size of Tuscaloosa or Athens, except Norman doesn't allow black people to live there. So, I guess it's really more like Auburn, only twice the size.
