Still one of the top divisions in CFB and still better than east. Why not be proud of a SEC west division win?
ETA: I'm aware OM didn't win it out right that year, but my entire point is more than Ole Miss. any team that wins the west should be more proud than any division winner in CFB. That's my point.

My point was in 2003 it was a shell of what it is now. LSU and Ole Miss were the only two teams ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season. By comparison the east finished with 3 ranked teams. Auburn finished that season receiving votes.
