In situations like this, I'm always of the mind... "it's never as good as it seems and it's never as bad as it seems."

Their defense is rated pretty poorly on most of the different objective metrics within the S&P+ (highest might be 50th-ish)... it's not like we'll be playing a sisters of the poor school or anything, but they're also not anywhere near as talented as Auburn and really not even as good as Notre Dame.

I anticipate they come out better than they have been though, given how much is going to be said between now and then about the bad defenses in the Big XII. They do have one defensive player who's been relatively disruptive this year (Ogbonnia Okoronkwo - co-defensive player of the year in the Big XII).

Certainly seems like Mecole Hardman should have a healthy role in this game (see: SECCG) in addition to our backs. Our OL should be excited to go earn a shot an all you can eat pancake buffet...

I'm maybe a little more concerned with our tendency to go conservative on offense... this is a game where I feel that we can ill afford to do that. Their offense can score in a hurry and we definitely don't want to be on the wrong side of a 2 score deficit.
