College Station is a cleaner, nicer town with better facilities, stadium and money. Also very close to Houston for potential medical emergencies with his son. Just a better environment for his needs
College Station is a small "College Town Hamlet." Baton Rouge is a large metropolitan city that just happens to have a University located there.

Big difference.

BR is no different that other large cities. Has it's "Good" areas and "Bad" areas. The "Bad" area in North BR is no where near LSU.

BTW, I used to live in Houston and shoot in Archery Tournaments at A7M. I can drive from Baton Rouge to New Orleans faster than from College Station to Houston. (More Hospitals closer and faster in BR-NOLA)

BTW, Jimbo Fisher was signed, sealed and almost delivered to LSU in 2015 for 6 Mill a year, but the University President (F.King Alexander) nixed the entire deal and then Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal went to bat for Miles to get another year. Fact..............
