FWIW, fiancee (medical provider) says Nick Fitzgerald has an ankle fracture, displaced. Says he'll likely need ORIF (OPEN reduction internal fixation) surgery. (Plates and metals in ankle.) ~1 year of physical therapy. Possible nerve damage.

I hope he can recover and if not play again, at least have full mobility. That was very bad looking.

Reminds me of Tyrone Prothro injury against Florida in 2005. Hope Fitzgerald has better luck with recovery than Prothro did.
