I think he simply didn't know how to manage higher talent and the egos that come with that. He juggled them just enough to keep them happy but without regard to his own offense and what it needed. Baffling is a great description of it. Why let Scott keep running vanilla plays when the plays from the year prior were perfect for the talent you have? Why keep running Hurd into a brick wall when you can sweep or throw a short pass and get hella yardage out of Kamara?

He got so caught up in the players that he couldn't run his own damn offense. I don't know if it came from favoritism, fear of losing the players, or simply not knowing how to manage his own damn players.

He had the offensive system and the players to go with it yet didn't play the ones that fit it.
