Thoughts from the game

First off, it was great to be in a full, loud arena again. Fantastic atmosphere, have not had the for a long time.

Kassius did a good job running the point. I still think we are better with him at the 2, but for now he did a quality job and you can tell he's a leader. Great shooter when he gets his feet set.

I just really like Barnett. He plays smart. Great athlete and has a smooth stroke. He's efficient.

Jontay has a nice game. He's got a good stroke as well and he is a really good passer from the key on the high low game. Disrupts shots on the defensive end as well.

Tilmon. What can you say? He's a monster, and he also has a good feel for the game.

Puryear was kind of the forgotten man with all of the forward talent we brought in, but he showed he can play as well. I think dropping weight/adding quickness is a good move for him as he can play on the perimeter a little more.

Overall, just really impressed. Offensively, it looks like we have a plan. We move the ball. Take good shots. The interior passing was also really good.

Defensively we play hard. Get hands on the ball in the half court, and forced them to take tough shots for the most part. We rebound well and have a nice presence down low to block/alter shots.

We have talent AND we are well coached. It such a pleasure to have a legitimate basketball team again. Going to be a fun season.
