Love the game plan...

99 yds on 13 plays and took time off the clock! Running the ball more than throwing, but hitting big plays when we do throw the ball. Defense gets rest. That’s how we should go into every game. I understand it’s RPO stuff, but I think those reads can go either way. I like what I see thus far!

Its a RPO offense, they're simply doing what Florida is giving.
The point of an offense is to score, not take time off the clock.
TOP is overrated. Defenses get tired by snap counts, not TOP.

Yeah, but it’s nice to be able to have a sustained, time consuming drive when you need it. And you WILL need it as our team gets better, and starts playing more meaningful games in the future. It’s nice to be able to score fast if you need to, but it’s also nice when you’re leading by 3 with 5 minutes to play in a game to sustain a drive where the other team never gets the ball back!

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Josh Heupel has been nominated for the Broyles Award, which attempts to honor the nation's top assistant coach. The nominees were announced Wednesday (Nov. 8) by the Frank & Barbara Broyles Foundation. This is the second consecutive year that a member of Mizzou's coaching staff has earned a nomination, after offensive line coach Glen Elarbee earned a nod in 2016.
