I think McElwain was a dumb motherfricker, I think I did what any reasonable fan would do -- cheer on his coach while everyone unnecessarily shite on him.

So a reasonable fan sticks up for a coach that can’t get the job done but will throw the young QB under the bus because he struggles like every QB that has played for Mac here. Atleast we got your boy Zaire starting now and turning this offense around . ??

The offense -- in spite of not having Toney or Davis looks much better and yes, Zaire looks like he's far more comfortable than Franks.

He didn't have a stellar game, but he still outperformed Franks through three games and without the best playmakers even on the field.

If we can't run the ball, we need to produce those yards through a mobile quarterback. Many plays bust and Zaire makes lemonade when he can.

Franks doesn't check down, he doesn't read the field, has no pocket awareness, can't read the defense, seems to be unable to see clear, wide open receivers and ultimately: Is a sitting duck.

If we had Toney, Callaway, Davis and Cleveland on the field at the same time, I think Franks could do wonders, especially with that arm. We could keep the defense off-balance.

But when 3 out of those 4 guys are either injured or out, there is no hope for this offense outside of what Zaire can do with his legs. Period.
