I'm personally disappointed about Kelly but elated about Mullen.

Pretty sure he guaranteed Hugh Freeze was the next coach last time. But I like that he's saying Frost. Hopefully he's right

I understand money is of no concern at Florida, but I feel like Moo would throw everything they had to keep Mullen and we'd end up getting fricked over with a massive amount of capital to keep him.

i can't see mullen leaving state. i think with the rise of dak prescott that he's finally gotten over the hump with regards to qb recruiting and i think the rest will follow. he's kinda gotten himself in the middle of a perfect storm in starkville. talent and moderate expectations. why leave? plus, if he stays, he will be THE all time coach icon at state. just don't see him coming here.

I don’t know if either one of them fit personality wise. I would like to Kelly here but not Mullen.

I think we all agree about Frost over Mullet . Seems like everyone’s top 3 have Kelly and Frost . Seems like Kiffin and Mullen are the 3 options for most . It sounds like Petrino would be your pick for 3rd best fit. I would take Petrino over Mullen.

I was talking to one of my State friends, and he mentioned this. Mullen has a solid class coming in, QB in place, and a lot of experience in 2018. He will also be the winningest coach in Moo U history by the end of next season, plus his record will be much better than the .500 Jackie Sherrill has. Even a modest season next year seals him as GOAT there.

My number one is Frost. My number two is Taggart.

I think we'd have a top 3 class every year under Taggart

Mullen I could live with, but the other two are pretty strange names to be seeing.

Strong, Frost. Others I feel like we're just wasting our time.

Frost, Leach, Kiffin would all have instant offense at Florida.

Not big on Tagg or Norvall at all honestly. Wouldn't like the hires.

Frost and Leach definitely would turn us around right away, and if they could develop Corral -- or even Trask (a lot of people are sleeping on him without realizing he's pretty good, too), they'll be scary.

I won't watch Gator football if we go with Tagg or Norvell. This is our chance, man, to make a great hire. Shoot for the stars.

Straws - do you even watch football? Very few people would take Frost over Taggert as a head coach. Taggert is a proven winner that has turned around 2 terrible teams and is working on a 3rd. He's probably the best recruiter in the state of Florida. What possible reason would you have to not watch UF if Taggert was coach?

Agree completely. He's taking top flight talent from FL all the way to Oregon

Your reasoning is very strange and often times contradictory.

Frost rebuilds UCF, it doesn't matter it's UCF.

Taggert rebuilds USF, he's amazing, I mean, even though they're in the same conference Taggert's a miracle worker.

As for ''proven winner'' he actually has a losing record.

Maybe he took over bad teams and had to take a little bit of time to rebuild them -- Frost did the same. With much less time in the same league.

I feel like you simply don't like Frost, and you are grasping at whatever you can to try and deflate him, which is fine.

Still waiting on that me backing Muschamp proof.

I’ve heard the story about her being harassed at the grocery store. Did stuff like this happen multiple times? I can’t imagine most Gator fans would recognize the OC’s wife.

I'm afraid that Gator fans have turned themselves into their own worse enemy, generally speaking of course. The pressure cooker at UF is matched by a few other SEC teams fan bases...but I believe we could be #1. Better be ready for all kinds of harassment if you lose a game, at UF, LSU, AU etc etc.

Back on track...why hire Strong as HC when he is a defensive guy and we have a interim coach now with HC experience at a major school, who also grew up, played and coached in the Dade gold mine recruiting fields? I am worried that Richt's success this year will keep a lot of talent home down there. If we do hire a defensive guy... he just needs to hire the right OC or we might be Boom 1.0
again.
