If she was convicted, convicted being the key word, of her third DUI, then there are mandatory minimum jail sentences on that. Georgia actually has a mandatory 48 hours in jail for driving on a suspended license, which I always found to be absurd.

Actually worked in Cobb county too after my first year of law school at the solicitor's office, where all misdemeanors go. Depending on what solicitor gets assigned to the case, they can be tougher on some offenses than other counties may be.
