Have you seen what Florida Highway Patrol does to field rushers??? It's not because of hallowed ground. They literally whip your arse with nightsticks!
I got to UF in 1982 and I was shocked how the police hog tied anyone stepping on the field. There was always that "one guy" that had to try them and everyone saw him get treated like an inmate in Singapore.

Lightning delays the cops leave the field. Against Ohio during the Urban era, one streaker was running around for several minutes. Crowd was cheering for him until he got taken down.
