Byrne saying they haven't found any violations involving Alabama leads me to believe it was something that happened prior to Kobie being hired.

Could be. He isn't just in hoops either. I read in one story that on draft night Leonard Fournette and DeShaun Watson were wearing his suits.
He is the guy in this mess most likely to fall up some stairs.
