The NCAA is going to nail Auburn's arse over this.
If you read it, it says that players were given bribes out of this grant money.

I don't want to point out your lack of understanding but, you don't understand this at all. Like, not even a little bit of understanding.
The grant money is why there is a fraud charge. The reason for this is that Auburn was paying grant money to a student that the defendant caused to be ineligible due to the accused persons actions. That is why the defendant was hit with a fraud charge with AU listed as the victim.
