Yeah, unfortunately it's gotten to the point where folks root for political parties like they do their favorite sports team and their rival. They revel in the defeat of the rival team as much (if not more) as they revel in their own team's victory.
That's fine for sports but, man, that's a toxic atmosphere to have among every day Americans...because at the end of the day, that's what we all are.

Hmm, interesting truly.
I'll admit, I wanted the democrats to lose the election- after everything that happened pre-election and the fact that they had been in office for 8 years. But it's weird, I used to think I was on their team and I definitely don't consider myself on the other team but you're right that's not a good way to make a decision.
I guess it's just I don't feel like I have a team anymore so it just sucks because our choices are so limited when it just comes down to a few candidates, it's just choosing who you find the least horrible.
