I remember when it was. Like the example I posted yesterday, Fulmer got run out of Tennessee (rightfully so) with a better 5 year record than what Butch is currently on pace for. And that was when the East was actually a good division with great to solid coaches (Urban, Spurrier, Richt, Brooks).

Now we have vocal REDS like oleyeller that have been tricked into thinking 8-9 wins per annum is something to be proud of and we should support this horseshite product.

I think a lot of people who are okay with 9 wins a season are younger people who have no real memory of Tennessee being successful at football. And I'm young myself, I'm 21 so I've never really witnessed a dominant UT team like the 90's but I've been exposed to Vol football my entire life so I know 8-9 wins every season isn't acceptable. Even in down years we should be challenging for the East. Also, I think the people who are okay with 8-9 wins have the mindset "at least it's not Dooley"
