It's just not true. We rotate everyone on the defense outside of cornerbacks (and even them from time to time). Playing time can get guys really fired up, especially if they were told they'd get a lot when they were recruited.

Even Byron Cowart was seeing playing time. Albeit, not much, because why should he? He sucks.
