He has expressed (albeit a bit more subtle) his unhappiness with Auburn for a while.

Maybe there's a reason he didn't get many snaps? Marlon Davidson started as a true freshman over him. Garner isn't afraid to play young guys if they are ready. Cowart never earned his way onto the field. Nick Coe as a redshirt fresman is basically a de facto 5th starter.

There's plenty that AU sucks at doing right now but our DL is not one of them. That should tell you something about Cowart
