We got dominated on the DL and that is concerning. Shoop and Hoke said that we would have a 9-10 man rotation on the DL for that game and we didn't see anything but the starters for the most part (wtf?). We also lined up 1-2 yards off of the LOS which killed us instead of aggressively stunting and slanting in on their OL to disrupt their offense and blow up plays in the backfield for a loss (something Clemson really does well against that offense). You've gotta shut down Tech on 1st downs to be successful and we really struggled in that department.

We did not get dominated on the OL by any stretch though. 1st quarter was a little rough, but I thought we settled in nicely. Even more so with a new QB making his first collegetiate start and our starting LT being suspended for the game. 0 sacks given up is a W for that unit.

Once our OL settled in we pushed them around in the run game and gave the QB time to throw. John Kelly rushed for 6.7 ypc and had 4 rushing TD's on the night. He was doing whatever he wanted most of the 2nd half and into the OT periods.

Tennessee averaged 6.7 ypc to Tech's 6.2 ypc in a game where Tennessee had very little TOP or plays in general compared to Tech.

Either way, that's a lot better Tech team than people give them credit for.

They are 5-1 in their last 6 contests against the SEC and Paul Johnson has a pretty solid W/L record against Clemson and FSU relative to where they're at compared to those programs.

Georgia Tech last 6 SEC games:
-2-1 vs UGA
-Blew out Vanderbilt in 2016 (38-7)
-Dominated Kentucky the game before UT played them (34-18)
-Beat one of Miss. States best teams in program history (The 10-3 squad w/ Dak at QB and the #1 team in the country at one point)

Dak had almost 500 yards passing and you still lost that game by 2+ scores (34-49)

-Beat Jimbo and Florida St. In 2015.
-Beat Dabo and Clemson in 2014.

What they did to our defense was dreadful, but that's a really well coached football team regardless of how much shade people try and throw at them. The recent W/L above prove as much.

Preach, brotha
