Hurts is still afraid to make a mistake.

Hurts starts looking to run if his first option isn't open.

Maybe Hurts 'is what he is' and will never be a comfortable pocket passer.

This has been beat to death... Hurts had no time to do anything in the pocket. There pretty much was no pocket. He wasn't running because his first option wasn't there. He was running to avoid the pressure.

I also don't understand why you're knocking the guy about being careful with the ball, when you saw what happened to the other team's QB when he wasn't careful about passing when pressured. It's a damn good thing he was careful. Being careful won us the game.

Guys, we're not judging Hurts based on one game. Through 16 games and an offseason, we've seen very minimal improvement.
Generally when you talk about QBs that can improve, you talk about QBs that clearly have the arm talent to throw crisp, on-time passes, they just need more experience to really settle in - a guy like Tua for example.

When you have a guy who's never once hit a receiver across the middle in stride in 16 games, and that the coaches clearly have very little confidence in his ability to read defenses in his second season, it's really cause for concern when our offense isn't doing its job.
