Outside of those there's the coordinators: Aranda, Schiano, etc. I don't know if they'd make good head coaches as they've never been one so I won't speculate there.
Schiano is the ONLY current coordinator I want. Because he's already been a successful HC. And he was successful at a TERRIBLE school. I actually wouldn't mind that hire at all.
I don't want Venables. He's never been a HC despite plenty of opportunity. That tells me he doesn't really want it and is scared of it. Do. Not. Want.

Schiano would be interesting. Fuente is on at least his 2nd head coaching gig at VT and seems to be doing well.
I am not interested in Chip Kelly whatsoever. Way too much baggage and seems to be very difficult to work with.
I would talk to Les Miles. He may be much more flexible now on how to approach the offensive side of the ball since he was specifically fired for offensive problems. He has had a full year to think about why he got fired.
I want us to hire someone that has been successful as a head coach. We also need to be very particular about the assistant coaching staff if we are going to be paying top dollar.
