My takeaways:

QB - Allen has got to get the ball out faster. He holds on way too long leading to throwing under pressure and making bad decisions at the last second. He looked inaccurate too, overthrowing multiple passes.

O-line - looked improved from last year, especially in pass-pro. The negative plays came from run blitzes. That and Allen holding onto the ball for 10 seconds which no O-line can withstand.

RBs - Looked great. They were patient, followed blockers, and made guys miss in the secondary. Williams looks like a full grown man running out there. Hayden did great but he also had huge holes to run through. He might simply be great at steering his blockers.

WRs - Weren't getting separation early on. Later they were torching the defense but we weren't passing downfield. Nance looks like he's going to be a stud.

TEs - Great blocking and O'Grady looked good in the passing game. Bailed out Allen on a shitty pass.

Defense - Improved tackling but looked sluggish at times. Loss of Pulley is going to frick us badly I'm afraid.

The 3-4 seemed to limit the big plays over the middle but we gave up more short yardage plays which is expected with that defense. I hope we can hold up against teams that pound the ball up the middle.

Overall we did what we needed to do. I think some of our struggles were from both a vanilla playbook as well as running plays we don't really practice a lot and won't be using much this season.

I'm honestly wondering what KA has brought to the staff in terms of recruiting and coaching. Other than Dalton Wagner, I don't see any reason why he should still be employed if the o-line doesn't improve over the course of this season
