We already know we have a cupcake NonConf schedule with all being what should be very winnable matchups if in fact we are "even",at least as good as we ended last year. As such, we should root for our opponents to at least look "legitimate" if not for our own pride and confidence boost but also how at season end we are evaluated via power rankings and bowl consideration should we scratch out at least 6 wins.

UCONN won 27-20.

I agree, that was scary and a UCONN loss would of made our Non-conference schedule look that much weaker.

Yep. We have WV again in 2019 but other than that so far the NC schedule looks pretty bad for the near future.

Sometimes you wind up with a poor schedule through now fault of your own, such as when Michigan backed out their deal with us and we had to scrabble to find a replacement.

I think Missouri's problem is that the Big 12 teams are still butt hurt that you and the Aggies packed up and left. Otherwise you'd be getting offers from teams like Texas Tech and TCU. When Arkansas left the SWC we were effectively blackballed from playing against those teams for almost a decade.

Iowa would be a solid OOC opponent. Maybe reach out to Nebraska or Colorado? Get Nebraska and see if you can cut a deal with Jerry Jones to put the game at Jerry's World to rub it in the face of the Big 12.

You're right about the big 12. Love the nebraska idea at the jerry. I'm actually happy about the missouri state game. Even though they are a cupcake, it's our 2 biggest football programs. Uconn is pretty worthless. We get knocked if we don't demolish them and it hurts when we only beat em by 3(God awful game).

They always point out we need to make the kc people happy; playing the buffaloes in arrowhead would rub it in the beakers face.

I think Colorado vs Missouri now would be a fun series. Just enough history there to add some sizzle to the games and it would be a slap in the face to the Big 12 in general and Kansas in particular.

MU and Nebraska the 3rd weekend of September would be awesome. Home and Home and then take off two years.

I would pay good money to see Mizzou and Nebraska square off right now.
